In medieval times, minstrels were traveling poets and musicians who recited stories of love, life, humor, and grief. At Ménestrel des senteurs, we do the exact same—but we use fragrance as our language. We create perfumed stories that heighten emotions, capture fleeting moments, and offer comfort along your journey through life and love.
My passion for fragrance is deeply woven into my family history. As a little girl, I was completely intrigued by the intoxicating, historic perfume bottles in my grandmother’s boudoir. My grandfather spent decades as a sales manager at Polak & Schwarz (which later merged into IFF). During the dark years of World War II, my grandparents bravely hid his colleagues in their attic at night, while perfume production continued by day. Years later, my father traveled to Paris with a dream to launch his own perfume brand alongside my grandfather. Sadly, due to health reasons, he had to let that dream go.
A few years ago, I felt a profound calling to continue this unfinished legacy. Guided by life-changing events and a burning desire to inspire future generations, I decided to blend my love for writing with the world of scent. I looked up for poems I had written over the years and translated their emotions into unique scent accords. In close collaboration with exceptionally talented master perfumers, these deeply personal but recognizable stories were captured in beautiful, captivating fragrances.
Life is precious. Dare to live, dare to feel, dare to love, and create memories that bring joy forever.
